Additionally, the Kabinett section will allow galleries to unveil thematic exhibitions with a special emphasis on Asian artworks.

Attendees can also look forward to an engaging film program and numerous innovative activities throughout the fair.

Local Collaborations and Film Program

Angelle Siyang-Le, the fair’s director, continues to deepen the connection between the event and Hong Kong’s vibrant arts community.

Building off of last year’s initiatives, she has infused more local flavor into the programming, making it an even richer experience.

The film component, expertly curated by the independent arts hub Para Site, promises seven screenings showcasing the talents of 30 artists.

Notable collaborations will include efforts with Videotage, a leading name in new media arts, as well as Nowness Asia, known for its captivating arts and culture video content.

Moreover, the fair will partner with respected local institutions such as 1a space, Asia Society Hong Kong Center, HASS Lab, the Hong Kong Art Gallery Association, and Tomorrow Maybe, an innovative venue that made waves last year.

Key Highlights and Installations

Among the many exciting features, a special partnership with M+ will transform the museum’s facade with a stunning display by Singaporean artist Ho Tzu Nyen.

His piece, Night Charades, will creatively pay homage to the golden age of Hong Kong cinema, employing AI to generate ever-changing combinations of characters and scenes, making it a highlight not to be missed.

For the last time, Alexie Glass-Kantor will curate the Encounters series, featuring 18 captivating large-scale installations.

A remarkable 14 of these will be site-specific to the fair, including an extraordinary off-site installation at Pacific Place Park Court, crafted by Zurich-based artist Monster Chetwynd.

This piece will intertwine sculpture and performance in a truly mesmerizing way, following on the success of last year’s daring presentations, including a crowd-favorite installation by Mak2.

In the Kabinett section, expect artworks from 36 distinguished galleries.

Noteworthy highlights will include gestural ceramics and vibrant paintings from the 1960s and 70s by the renowned Martin Wong, showcased by P.P.O.W. Additionally, an intriguing collection of post-Mao ink paintings will be displayed by Beijing’s INKstudio.
